Analog Devices Inc. LTC7871 Bidirectional Buck or Boost Controllers

Analog Devices Inc. LTC7871 Bidirectional Buck or Boost Controllers are a high-performance switching regulator controllers that operate either in buck or boost mode on demand. The buck mode operates from VHIGH to VLOW and boost mode operates from VLOW to VHIGH depending on the control signal. This makes it ideal for 48V/12V automotive dual battery systems that allow both the batteries to supply energy to the load simultaneously.

The LTC7871 controllers exhibit unique architecture that allows dynamic regulation of input voltage, output voltage, or current. These buck or boost controllers feature SPI compliant serial interface, discontinuous or continuous mode of operation, OV/UV monitors, accurate inductor current monitoring, and overcurrent protection. The LTC7871 controllers are available in a 64 pin 10mm × 10mm LQFP package and are AEC-Q100 qualified.
