Analog Devices Inc. HMC520A GaAs MMIC I/Q Mixers
Analog Devices Inc. HMC520A GaAs MMIC In-phase Quadrature (I/Q) Mixers are compact, 24-terminal mixers capable of operating in the 6GHz to 10GHz RF frequency range and the DC to 3.5GHz IF frequency range. Designers can use the HMC520A Mixers as an image reject mixer or a single sideband upconverter. The design incorporates two standard double balanced mixer cells and a 90° hybrid developed in a GaAs, metal semiconductor field effect transistor (MESFET) process. As a result, the HMC520A offers a smaller alternative to a hybrid-style image reject mixer and a single sideband upconverter assembly.Within the 6GHz to 10GHz RF range, the HMC520A GaAs MMIC I/Q Mixers from Analog Devices provide a typical 23dBc image rejection rate and 8dB conversion loss. When operating in the RF frequency range, the mixers have a typical 43dB LO to RF isolation.
