The standard allows for bidirectional power, which makes these plugs and jacks a one-piece solution for data and power transmission without the need for a separate power adapter. Designed with an IP68-sealed format, the Type-C IPx8 connectors are protected against dirt, dust, or humidity in harsh commercial and industrial environments. The cable is IP68-rated, when mated, on the USB C end and not waterproof on the USB Type-A end.
